Heat-expanding Gaskets for Fire Doors

Heat-expanding gaskets are essential to ensure the fire resistance of fire doors, contributing to their approval certification (30-120 min).

When exposed to high temperatures, they expand to seal cracks and prevent the passage of fire and smoke. They must be non-combustible, self-extinguishing and have high mechanical resistance to remain effective even under high pressure.

Reliable and high-performance, they ensure maximum protection in the event of fire.

Characteristics of Heat Expanding Gaskets

The heat-expanding gaskets begin to expand around the 180°C, reaching maximum relaxation. Once this temperature is exceeded, the material progressively hardens.

A 450°C, under load, form a stable foam, slightly elastic and porous, ensuring an effective seal against fire and smoke. Their expansion capacity and mechanical resistance make them essential for the safety of fire doors
