Description

Preformed rubberized fabric membranes are made using different types of elastomers, combined with reinforcing fabrics selected based on the required performance and the operating conditions in which the product will be used.

Common elastomers include NBR, SBR, HNBR, EPDM, CR, ECO, FKM, FFKM, VMQ, and FVMQ; while reinforcements typically include polyamide, polyester, cotton, silk, aramid fibers, carbon fibers, and glass fibers, as well as other technical fabrics.

Based on customer specifications, the hardness of the elastomer can be customized, with indicative values ranging from 40 to 85 Shore A. The membranes can also be preformed in numerous geometries, such as radius, convolute, rolling profiles and many other configurations.

These membranes can feature surfaces co-vulcanized with materials such as PTFE, technical cardboard, high-temperature fibers, and various other specialized substrates. These surfaces are particularly suited to withstand highly aggressive fluids or flange sealing applications characterized by very stringent requirements.

The final product can be manufactured using materials that comply with the regulations required for the application for which it is intended.
